This is a true plug and play cold air intake engineered to deliver performance without sacrificing efficiency for sound.
Secondary Air feed: Functional Engineering, Not Aesthetic Add‑On
The OEM front air diverter on the F56 is already highly efficient, offering little measurable improvement when replaced.
Rather than redesigning a component that MINI got right, we focused on what the platform actually needed: Greater total system volume.
Our Solution:
A secondary air feed positioned in the cowl high‑pressure zone, delivering an additional supply of cold, dense air directly into the enlarged airbox, something current enclosed aftermarket systems can’t offer.
Not only does this increase mass‑airflow potential, it also gives our system greater internal volume than traditional closed intakes, while remaining fully sealed to prevent heat‑soak, a problem open‑cone kits inevitably suffer from.
In other words, we’ve solved both compromises:
• More volume than closed systems
• More turbo sound than open systems
A no‑trade‑off intake solution for the F56 platform.
Our Approach:
We intentionally manufacture our intakes from advanced plastics, not metal.
Why? Because plastics don’t act like a thermal battery. Metal shields absorb and store heat, exactly what you don’t want when chasing lower intake temperatures.
With our design, the filter is consistently fed by cold air from two locations:
The stock front diverter and our secondary air diverter placed at the high pressure cowl area.
Acoustic Behavior: Why Turbo Sound Increases?
By routing the secondary intake path towards the cowl, outside the heavily insulated engine bay, the system fundamentally changes how turbo sound reaches the cabin.
Key acoustic effects include:

Reduced damping from engine‑bay insulation.

A shorter, more direct acoustic path.

Increased spool and blowoff valve sound.

Audible turbo sound even at light throttle and closed windows.
The result is a raw, mechanical turbo sound profile that even open‑cone kits cannot replicate.
